A disused railway station in a Devon city may seem an unlikely place to find a taste of orient, but that is exactly what you will get when you visit Imperial China in st Thomas, Exeter.

Specialising in the best of Cantonese, Peking,and Szechuan dishes, the owner have tranformed the old building into exciting and stylish venue in which to eat at lunch time or evening

MAIN RESTAURANTOpen seven days a week, The Imperial China offer both set and individual menus, from traditional chinese dishes to the more exotic. Fresh fish and seafood are delivered to the premisies daily,along with pastries, muffin and cakes, that that served with fresh brewed coffee.

The spacious restaurant operates on three levels.

On ground floors is the chill-out bar, serving oriental snack, Express lunch, coffee, and wide selection of drinks in relaxing sorroundings. with a mezzanine floor, the second level is galleried and overlooks the bar, which provide the perfect party area, suitable for groups of up to 40 peoples. The main restaurant is on the top floor with amazing views of the city and catheral and can seat up to 140 peoples.

If you you fancy with night in, you can take advantage of the takeaway menu.

The Imperial China just off exe bridges on the cowick street juntion. There is ample parking at retail park next door, and it is a short stroll from the quay if you feed the need to have a walk after you have eaten.
